Our mission is to optimize the performance and reliability of pumping systems by evaluating root causes of degradation or failure, providing unbiased engineering analysis, quality workmanship, and responsive field service for improved plant operation. This full-time opportunity in Chicago is for a qualified NDT Quality Control Inspector to work on 1st or 2nd shift.
You will execute dimensional inspections of critical, large machine parts for our nuclear business.
Responsibilities
Execute dimensional inspections of critical, large machine parts for the nuclear business.
Perform inspections using analog micrometers and calipers and other manual precision measuring equipment.
Develop detailed reports for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Calibrate measuring and test equipment used for inspection and testing activities.
Utilize the Epicor ERP system for collecting and documenting findings.
Learn and apply nuclear industry requirements related to documentation processes and travelers for each component inspected.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of previous inspection experience.
Must have used analog measuring tools for 5+ years in manufacturing.
Experience using manual analog precision tools: micrometers, gauges, calipers, inside/outside diameters, and depth micrometers.
2+ years of NDT experience desired.
Ability to prioritize and take direction from all levels of management.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, familiar with MS Office suite.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
High School Diploma.
Desired Skills
NDT Methods: UT, PT, MT, RT
Faro Arm or Romer Arm experience
