StaffBright is working with a precision manufacturing company to identify an experienced and driven
Director of Quality
to lead their Quality organization. This is a senior leadership opportunity to oversee quality operations across multiple divisions, with a strong emphasis on the aerospace sector, which is the company’s fastest-growing business unit. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of aerospace quality leadership experience, a proven track record in audits and compliance, and the ability to drive a culture of zero defects and continuous improvement. What You Will Be Doing: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Quality department, including engineers, technicians, and support personnel. Partner directly with customers to effectively resolve quality issues. Lead internal and customer root cause analysis and corrective actions while maintaining the CAR log. Monitor, measure, and act on Quality Objective Trends to ensure targets are consistently met. Implement processes to drive zero defects and improve customer quality ratings. Conduct training across the organization and manage special process personnel testing and certifications. Oversee both internal and external customer/process audits to ensure compliance with aerospace and automotive standards. Maintain quality documentation to demonstrate conformance with Risk Management and Continuous Improvement processes. Manage the Customer Compliment and Complaint Process and maintain detailed logs. Review and approve purchase orders and process routers to ensure accuracy and compliance. What We Need From You: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 10+ years of leadership experience in Quality within the
aerospace industry
(automotive experience a strong plus). Deep knowledge of aerospace quality standards, audits, and compliance requirements. Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills to effectively partner with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Experience driving a culture of continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives. Experience with both
AS9100
and
ISO9001
certified environments. Hands-on background in managing NADCAP audits and special process approvals. Proficiency in ERP systems (PLEX experience preferred). Familiarity with advanced technologies such as ATOS 5 Scan Box and automated quality systems. Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
