Butterfly Staffing is partnering with a well-established, 3PL provider to find a forward-thinking and operations-focused Vice President of Warehousing & Distribution. This is a critical leadership opportunity for a seasoned logistics professional to modernize, scale, and manage end-to-end distribution operations across a multi-site warehousing network.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience leading large operational teams, developing key performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement across warehousing and supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership Define and implement warehouse strategy aligned with corporate growth goals. Drive process improvements across inventory, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and safety. Oversee warehouse, packing & crating, security, and facilities teams across multiple locations. Implement and manage operational metrics to track productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Lead the integration of technology and data analytics to enhance visibility and performance. Partner with senior leadership on business forecasting and company-wide initiatives. Team Management & Development Lead and inspire a workforce of 250+ warehousing and distribution team members. Identify talent needs and support hiring, onboarding, and development initiatives. Foster a strong, safety-first culture aligned with OSHA and best practices. Mentor managers and supervisors across warehousing functions to drive accountability and results. Customer & Business Expansion Strengthen existing customer relationships and uncover new growth opportunities. Collaborate across departments and with sister companies to provide integrated supply chain solutions. Lead development of service delivery models that align with evolving customer needs. Data & Financial Oversight Manage department budgets and resource allocations to meet financial targets. Monitor and report on KPIs, including asset and labor productivity. Oversee pricing/costing models and ensure service profitability. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, or industrial operations. Proven success managing multi-site operations and large teams. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
