Supervise the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents, local & national building codes, and project-specific compliance requirements Work with Project Manager to document and maintain standard reports for delays, work-arounds, shutdowns and tie-ins Resolve personal disputes on the jobsite; lead and inspire others Maintain satisfactory relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and work in a team environment with Project Managers, Superintendents, field labor, etc. Provide quality assurance/control for all MSS-related scope and schedule Attend all inspections on projects assigned Manage, enforce and provide feedback on MSS tool tracking program for assigned projects and personnel Forecast and manage differing levels of labor and equipment on assigned projects Organize labor force needed to efficiently and effectively complete jobs on time and within budget Read complex blueprints and equipment installation manuals Identify and solve complex job-related problems and bring solutions to the Project Team and/or Field Ops Manager Liaison with client representatives Track project progress and report to the Field Ops Manager and Project Managers weekly Manage safety on the project and assist the safety manager in maintaining a safe working environment Coordinate daily job operations with project managers Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors and labor, maintaining strict control over accuracy and quality for each work activity Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager; document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance Interview and select field staff for the jobsite Attend all project meetings and conduct safety talks, keeping check-in sheets Perform performance reviews for employees on the project Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company Qualifications and Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in managing site logistics and contract operations on tight urban sites Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project Knowledge of all phases of construction; experience and proficiency in divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control Strong technical and communication skills Minimum of 5 years of construction experience as a Lead Superintendent Thorough understanding and ability to maintain current, complete project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications and related items Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience accessing, reading, and completing installation of systems from a BIM-coordinated project Ability to work with a variety of tools Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Must pass a background check and drug test OSHA 30 certification Bachelor’s Degree required Physical Demands: occasional sitting, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, balancing; constant standing and walking; vision requirements; ability to talk and hear; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent lifting up to 25 lbs Material Handling: lifting from floor level to overhead with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and constant lifting up to 25 lbs Work Environment
Exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, atmospheric conditions, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet or humid conditions, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and working in elevated spaces. Benefits
