Do you want to be a part in helping Baltimore youth design a Great FUTURE? As Boys & Girls Club of Metro Baltimore’s Great Futures Manager you will do just that! This future-forward role develops and implements programs that prepare tweens and teens (ages 13-18) for college, workforce readiness, and positive life outcomes. This role equips youth with post-secondary education exposure, career exploration, leadership skill-building. This role offers youth opportunities to learn and practice critical social and emotional skills needed as they enter adulthood such as responsible decision making, self-management, and social awareness. The Manager works closely with staff, families, and community partners to ensure teens have the resources, skills, and confidence to envision and pursue bright futures.

Responsibilities

Establish a Club environment where teens are excited and empowered to explore career, education, leadership, and build critical social and emotional skills via engaging programs and activities. Facilitate teen-specific programs, including Keystone Club, Youth of the Year, workforce readiness, leadership councils, and SEL skill-building activities and programs. Introduce youth to lucrative future forward career pathways. Host college/university visits and tours. Use local, national, and organizational data to inform youth programmatic and social emotional needs. Design a fun, engaging Club Day/experiences with and for teens in their areas of interest and stretch areas. Partner/connect regularly with the Program Manager, Club Director, and Director of Programs. Supervise and support the growth and development of 1-2 dedicated Great Futures staff. Training and Development

Facilitate age and stage aligned teen-focused programs and experiences, including areas of college and career readiness, financial literacy, and SEL (social and emotional learning). Provide direction, supervision, and professional development support to staff and volunteers delivering teen-focused programs. Train and coach staff to embed future readiness principles (goal setting, decision-making, future planning) into everyday interactions with teens. Marketing and Public Relations

Represent the Club in workforce readiness and post-secondary access initiatives. Promote teen leadership, post-secondary education, and workforce programs to increase participation and community visibility. Strategic Planning

Ensure all teen programs align with BGCMB’s mission, strategic roadmap, and BGCA’s Workforce Readiness outcome area. Develop program goals and outcomes tied to high school graduation, post-secondary enrollment, employment readiness, and literacy growth. Resource Management

Maintain records and reporting on participation, skill development, and outcomes of teen programs. Ensure compliance with BGCA reporting requirements and prepare required interagency reports. Partnership Development

Manage partnerships with employers, colleges, schools, and community organizations to expand career and leadership opportunities for teens. Develop collaborative programs for literacy enrichment, internships, mentoring, and service learning. Miscellaneous

Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a physically and psychologically safe Club. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or a minimum of four years’ work experience in youth development, workforce readiness, or education. Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, and programs of Boys & Girls Clubs and principles of nonprofit youth development. Demonstrated ability to design, direct, and evaluate teen-focused programs. Strong skills in supervision, staff training, and partnership development. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, families, schools, employers, and community partners. CPR and First Aid Certification required. BGCMB will provide. Valid Driver’s License. Physical Requirements/Work Environment
