Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Linux Server management to include installation, configuration, and maintenance. Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Design, build, configure, install, monitor, and support the scalable physical and virtual backup environment. Primary responsibility to manage backup operations including scheduling and monitoring jobs, troubleshooting failures, and monitoring completion and storage capacity. Develop and test disaster recovery plan to include data restoration, system recovery, and business continuity. Design, implement, and maintain storage systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance. Performance monitoring and tuning. Provide advanced support on L3/L4 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users. Provide technical guidance on implementation, integrations, and upgrade initiatives. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity including hardware and OS integration. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures, and other tasks as assigned. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours. Travel to other US domestic locations as needed up to 10%. Full-time 100% onsite position, Plano, TX. Qualifications You Must Have
Typically, bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or advanced degree and 5 years of direct experience. Must have active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Experience with Linux and Windows environments. Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Scripting experience. Qualifications We Prefer
Communication skills to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. DoD DoDD 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification). Experience with Containerization Technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, Rancher). Experience with CI/CD Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Experience with NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel protocols. Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions – Centrify. Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Experience with Commvault, Veeam, or NetBackup.
