National Sea Logistics LCL Manager

In this role within Sea Logistics, the LCL Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the product, such as developing new business, maintaining regular liaison with key NVOCCs/CFS contacts and ensuring operational efficiencies. You will engage with Sales, OKAMs CCLs and ensure competitive pricing is provided for realistic client specific opportunities. How you create impact You will develop, implement and drive the national product and business development strategy for our less-than-full-container-load (LCL) product by working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Key objectives include: Drive sales and key account managers in developing LCL opportunities, regularly joining sales calls. Collaborate with the customer care and operational care teams (CCL and OCC) to deploy the necessary expertise to meet customer demands. Ensure the profitability of the product by proactively addressing discrepancies. Upload and maintain LCL selling rates (MSR) in the KN Rates system to support quotations, including tailor-made rates for important opportunities. Negotiate trucking and container freight station (CFS) rates to optimize product yield while maintaining service standards. Provide regular LCL product training to colleagues involved with your portfolio. Develop tailor-made solutions for customers based on the product portfolio. Maintain relationships with co-loaders. Optimize cargo flows to achieve the best transportation options and yields. What we would like you to bring Five+ years of experience in LCL freight forwarding with thorough knowledge of the Seafreight product and environment, focusing on operations, administration and accounting. Minimum three years of managerial experience in an operational department. Ability to translate strategy into operational roadmaps and deploy resources to meet targets. Ability to work in a diverse environment and culture. Strong network and relationship-building skills with external and internal customers. Solid business analytical skills and decision-making capabilities. Detail-oriented, thorough and accurate with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Depth of experience in sea logistics and forwarding/carrier operational systems including EDI and domestic transportation is highly desired. Self-starter with leadership and motivational abilities.
