This role is for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a public sector client in the Sacramento area, overseeing two concurrent projects with California public contracting experience.

Responsibilities

Establish, monitor, and control projects with progressive reviews including scope, cost, schedule, and risk.

Identify and assess scope, schedule, and budget changes and recommend changes to align with program goals.

Coordinate and implement controls to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget per the program contract.

Identify potential obstacles, assess options, and implement preferred approaches as required.

Regularly assess work status and administer quality assurance and control programs.

Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of project schedule, scope, and cost.

Value engineer the project by identifying savings opportunities and ensuring material substitutions are equal.

Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.

Prepare Project Management plan and fee budget/proposal at project outset.

Evaluate documents and communicate client goals and expectations to project team members.

Develop and communicate action plans guiding the project team from the initial Project Management Plan.

Re-evaluate contract scope as the project progresses and recommend adjustments as needed.

Coordinate with cost management for cost estimates, cost studies, actuals reviews, and budget reconciliation.

Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and document control.

Drive the permitting process by preparing team documents for submission to authorities and monitor permit progress.

Ensure design management aligns with budget, scope, schedule, and client design standards.

Prepare cost and revenue projections.

Attend work as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Experience coordinating and implementing controls to meet on-time and on-budget metrics.

Ability to identify obstacles and provide mitigation options and plans.

Experience reviewing scope, cost, schedule, and risk.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of how the role contributes to organizational goals.

Education & Experience

Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field

Experience: 3+ years in construction project management serving large client programs

Must have California public sector project experience

Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

Salary range for this full-time role: $102,300.00-$136,433.35 per year. Salaries are determined based on position, geography, client and experience. This range reflects base salary only and does not include the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to adjust pay based on candidate experience and qualifications.
