Position Title: Senior JD Edwards Business Analyst
Location: Rutherford, NJ
Reporting To: Director of Information Systems
SCOPE OF ROLE: Responsible for identifying, implementing, and maintaining JDE system improvements to improve the utilization and efficiency of the business. This requires a robust understanding of manufacturing operations, order-to-cash functions, and the ability to effectively interact with the JDE end user community in identifying process inefficiencies and translating them into JDE system improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
System Analysis Maintain an instance of JDE and connected software. Ensure maximum uptime. Work with corporate IT on package builds and ESU deployment, maintain calendars/scheduler to support day-to-day functions. Apply JDE knowledge to business application programs to resolve problems, conduct system analysis, provide input to system specifications, perform site reviews, and analyze gaps between business requirements and JDE functionality. Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through better use of existing system capabilities and/or recommend new technologies to improve processes. Provide support and training to create “Next Level” super users. Maintain reliable information sources working with all functional areas by using or creating reports/dashboards using JD Edwards, Web intelligence, Power BI, and BIPublisher. Partner with Corporate I.T. team to ensure standards, security, and corporate initiatives are met. Manage I.T. SOX audit processes to ensure standards and timely addressing of new standards. Leadership and Development Lead cross-functional projects and teams, develop action plans, and report through all levels of management. Provide guidance, training, and development to team members (Develop Super users) to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Develop Standard operating procedures and documentation for business processes to aid in training and development. Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with internal departments and stakeholders to understand their business process improvement needs, ensure that JDE and ancillary software supports the business unit strategic objectives, and advise on technology advancement in the business. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE Maximum JDE uptime On-time delivery of project milestones Maintain high level of trust and engagement with team members Adherence to corporate compliance (JDE) and cyber security and SOX compliance EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or Information Systems 5+ years of JDE experience and system analysis Hands-on experience with JDE E1, system security, report writing, Change Management, and Project Management Experience managing audit requirements and creating action plans to address audit standards KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Manufacturing Order to Cash process: Experienced with order to cash processes and functions, best practices, automation TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong understanding of JDE E1, Bartender Label software, Webi, OMW, Power BI Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and standard software development methodologies Experience with Security management and Vulnerability Mitigation techniques COMPETENCIES Communication/Presentation: Prepare and present project milestone reviews, design proposal/review, and competitive evaluation presentations. Proactively providing clear, concise, consistent communication to internal and external stakeholders. Interpersonal Skill: Easily approachable and welcoming to all levels of organization. Good rapport with local co-workers, sales staff, and customers alike. Strategic Thinking: Natural problem solver and critical thinker. Able to navigate all levels of the org to promote projects. Able to articulate a strategic roadmap for JDE improvements. Time Management: Able to use organizational tools to track staff and personal commitments and achieve timely execution. Project Management: Manage and keep commitments. Deliver and communicate to senior leadership project statuses. Lead project action plan review (3W), build timeline, provide project documentation. Clearly Articulate Technical Concepts: Communicate technical details effectively with sales, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, finance, customer service and end users. PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May require travel up to 10% of the time. Incumbent must be able to travel. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the office. The position requires the incumbent travel to the various manufacturing facilities as much as 10% of the time. The work environment at the facilities can include excessive noise levels, exposure to weather elements, working around or adjacent to moving and mobile equipment and climbing ladders. Appropriate personal protective equipment including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and/or hard hats may be required while working in a facility.
