Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day execution and delivery of their individual project team in support of a broader program under the guidance of a Program Manager. This role focuses on detailed planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and progress tracking to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager collaborates closely with other project teams within the program, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and field operations to completion and resolve issues as they arise. Success in this position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and priorities.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex, multidisciplinary projects supporting Navy clients and contract deliverables.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets that align with defined acquisition requirements and performance standards.
Serve as a primary point of contact between internal project teams and government stakeholders, ensuring project objectives remain aligned with mission goals and compliance requirements.
Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closeout.
Identify, communicate, and help mitigate risks that may impact project performance, cost, or schedule.
Promote process improvements and innovative approaches to increase project efficiency, manage risk, and enhance outcomes.
Ensure all assigned project deliverables—such as status updates, risk logs, and milestone reports—are accurate, timely, and compliant with Navy requirements.
Provide direction and coordination for cross-functional project teams, translating technical requirements into executable project tasks and deliverables.
Qualifications
Clearance:
Active Secret or higher
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business.
Experience:
Fifteen (15) years of technical experience in support of program/projects, to include: Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support.
Minimum eight (8) concurrent years of Project Management experience within large (>100 personnel) programs, to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
Minimum five (5) concurrent years as manager supporting Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Demonstrated experience managing full software and hardware development lifecycle projects, including design, development, testing, and deployment using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools for management, analysis, and reporting.
Project Management Certification:
One (1) of the following PMI certifications: PMP, PgMP, or a DAWIA Advanced/Level 2-3 Program Management certification.
Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) Certification:
One of the following certifications consistent with IAM II: CGRC, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, or CASP.
CISSP is preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic Compensation:
$168,480- $212,160
