Assistant or Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and AI — Tenure Track at the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics, California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI).

Responsibilities
Engage in an ongoing program of scholarship demonstrating intellectual and professional growth.
Contribute to planning and governance through service on School and campus-wide committees.
Promote cross-cultural awareness and service to the community.
Develop and lead an applied curriculum integrating cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and strategic business management.
Qualifications
Minimum: Doctoral degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) or ABD in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or closely related field; degree must be completed by August 1, 2026.
Demonstrated preparation to teach cybersecurity, AI, and/or information systems in a university setting.
Demonstrated potential for research and scholarly activities with peer-reviewed publications.
Ability to engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship to support student academic success.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or AI/ML framework certifications.
Experience in cybersecurity risk management, AI governance, or cyber analytics.
Experience with innovative instructional strategies and technologies (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics).
Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
Work or consulting experience in sectors where AI and cybersecurity intersect (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology).
