CSUCI invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Cybersecurity & AI within the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics. The hire aims to develop and lead an applied, forward-thinking curriculum that blends cybersecurity, AI, and strategic business management to prepare students for digital risk management, ethical AI integration, and organizational resilience. A Doctoral degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) or ABD from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Degree must be completed by August 1, 2026. Required Qualifications

Demonstrated preparation to teach cybersecurity, AI, and/or information systems in a university setting. Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly, and creative activity with peer-reviewed publications. Ability to engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship supporting student academic success. Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or certifications in AI/ML frameworks. Interest or experience in cybersecurity risk management, AI governance, or cyber analytics. Experience with innovative instructional strategies and technologies (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics). Experience teaching online or hybrid courses. Work or consulting experience in sectors like healthcare, finance, or technology where AI and cybersecurity intersect. Responsibilities

Faculty are teacher/scholars expected to engage in ongoing scholarship and to participate in planning and governance through service on school and campus committees. They are also expected to promote cross-cultural awareness and serve the community. Application Materials

Californa State University Tenure Track (Academic Year) Salary Schedules are available for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
