Temporary Journeyman Building Engineer/Painter. The
Journeyman Painter/Engineer
will perform exterior painting projects, basic maintenance, safety inspections and repairs to varying types of equipment and reports to the Chief Engineer. This position is 90% exterior work. Schedule:
Tues-Sat 7:30am - 3:30pm Pay Range:
$69.52 /HR The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant\'s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Benefits:
This is a union position and as such will include union benefits. Essential Functions
Follow safe practices and comply with company and regulatory standards Proficient in preparation for all surfaces: sanding, scraping, masking and taping Prepping & Painting: Handrails, light poles, metal doors, bollards Prepping & Refinishing wood handrails, Docks and Decks Prepping & Painting cement flower and tree planters Proficient with all painting applications: brushes, rollers, spray equipment Proficient with all types of paint, primers, stains and sealers Power washing Proficient in using power and hand tools (drills, saws, sanders, etc.) Basic construction skills Framing (wood and metal) Drywall/Sheetrock installation and repair Tape & Mud, texture and finish walls Qualifications
Commercial Journeyman Painter — 2 years of experience minimum Must possess a valid, unexpired driver\'s license Must possess an engineering license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed Basic Mechanical knowledge Plumbing and Electrical experience preferred Prior construction experience Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties that are required of the employee for this job.
