Overview ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a

Temporary Journeyman Building Engineer/Painter .

The

Journeyman Painter/Engineer

will perform exterior painting projects, basic maintenance, safety inspections and repairs to varying types of equipment and reports to the Chief Engineer.

This position is 90% exterior work

Pay Range is: $69.52 /HR

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule:

Tues-Sat 7:30am - 3:30pm

This is a union position and as such will include union benefits.

Essential Functions

Follow safe practices and complies with company and regulatory standards

Must be proficient in preparation for all surfaces. Sanding, Scraping Etc. Masking and Taping

Prepping & Painting: Handrail, light poles, metal doors. bollards.

Prepping & Refinishing wood handrails, Docks and Decks

Prepping & Painting cement flower and tree planters.

Proficient with all painting applications: Brush, rollers, spray equipment

Proficient with all types of paint, primers, stains and sealers

Power Washing

Proficient in using power and hand tools. Drills, Saws, Sanders etc.

Basic construction skills.

Framing wood and metal

Drywall/Sheetrock installation and repair

Tape & Mud, texture and smoothwall.

Qualifications

Commercial Journeyman Painter - 2 years' experience minimum

Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license

Must possess engineering license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed

Basic Mechanical knowledge

Plumbing and Electrical experience preferred

Prior construction experience
