The Lead Teacher role has the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children in the classroom. The Lead Teacher supports the mission and philosophy of the Center, provides a nurturing, consistent, developmentally appropriate environment that meets the cognitive, emotional, social and physical needs of young children, develops and maintains family relationships, collaborates with the co-teaching team, and participates in continuous professional development. The Lead Teacher must abide by all EEC licensing standards and all policies and procedures in the employee handbook. Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom. Support the Center’s mission and philosophy through developmentally appropriate practices. Provide a nurturing, child-centered environment that supports learning through play. Develop and maintain positive family relationships and communicate with families. Collaborate with co-teaching team and participate in ongoing professional development. Adhere to EEC licensing standards and Center policies and procedures. Qualifications

Lead Teacher certified by MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with others. Reliable, conscientious, and organized with the ability to multitask. Computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Willingness to expand knowledge in the field. CPR and first aid certification (recommended). Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of records and information. Equal Employment Opportunity
