Senior Director of Development and Individual Giving
Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks a creative, strategic, and collaborative Senior Director of Development and Individual Giving to lead and expand Einstein’s major gifts program. The Senior Director will carry a portfolio of alumni and friends with capacity to make six- and seven-figure gifts, focusing on prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring a creative and strategic approach to donor engagement and solicitation in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment, engaging with alumni and non-alumni constituencies to strengthen connections between alumni, friends, parents, and the institution. The Senior Director will work closely with internal partners—faculty, leadership, and advancement colleagues—as well as external stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and volunteers. The role includes frontline fundraising and program strategy to drive long-term engagement and investment from Einstein’s donor communities. The Senior Director reports to the Vice President of Development, Suzanne M. Murphy, Ed.D., and manages one frontline fundraiser. The candidate will serve as a key member of Einstein’s senior leadership team, collaborating with the Vice President of Development & Alumni Relations, Assistant Vice President of Development & Alumni Relations, and Assistant Vice President of Donor Outreach, Communications, & Alumni Relations. The role involves providing top-level support and strategy to manage a portfolio of top prospects and building partnerships with executive, academic, and scientific leadership to provide meaningful engagement and effective support. Proven success in major gifts fundraising and donor engagement. Strong strategic planning, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment and manage complex partnerships. Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. Base pay range:
$155,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
