Supports the Executive Chef in food preparation and cooking. Coordinates activities of kitchen staff and food-service associates. Takes responsibility in the absence of the Executive Chef. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cooks and prepares food following recipes and standards, meeting deadlines. Supervises hourly staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions. Stores food properly, adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance. Maintains sanitation of equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness during service. Addresses customer complaints courteously and relays information to supervisors. Understands and explains menu items to staff and customers. Manages peak production times effectively. Monitors inventory, deliveries, and waste, notifying supervisors of low supplies. Performs additional duties as assigned.
