We are seeking an experienced
COBOL Developer
to join our mainframe development team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software development experience, with deep expertise in
COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
environments. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and deploying application changes, as well as performing performance tuning and production support in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment. The developer will collaborate with project managers and remote team members, participate in an on-call rotation (every 5 weeks), and provide clear technical documentation and status updates. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of mainframe software development experience. Strong proficiency in
COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM z/OS toolsets . Working knowledge of IDCAMS, SyncSort, File-Master, FTP/NDM. Nice-to-have skills: REXX, Endevor, Clarity, Jira. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Additional Information
Role involves on-call rotation every 5 weeks. Contract employment type. Collaboration with project managers and remote team members.
