The position supports the design, development and execution of pilot control, actuation systems, and cockpit solutions for next‑generation aircraft programs. Responsibilities
Participate in planning, design, development, and verification of systems. Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements; ensure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces. Implement verification and validation of system requirements with proper flow down and traceability for system and hardware components. Create test plans and schedules; develop test procedures, execute verification tasks, and demonstrate requirements verification coverage. Perform interface development, documentation, compliance, and system integration to ensure system success. Provide trade studies, impact analysis, failure analysis, and modeling. Review customer specifications to determine compliance with requirements and statement of work; note exceptions as needed. Ensure timely completion of projects aligned with company goals; design new products and modify existing ones to meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and market requirements. Provide technical support and collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, testing, program management, suppliers, customers) to resolve problems and implement solutions. Evaluate design changes for impact on product design, cost, and schedule. Participate as an integral member of the program Change Control Board (CCB) to review documentation toward system qualification and product certification. Support new product development processes, design for manufacturability, and design reviews (preliminary and critical). Identify and analyze potential failure modes and recommend design improvements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field (engineering, aerospace, electrical, engineering technology, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or systems engineering). 8+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Self-directed with minimal supervision; strong critical thinking and root-cause analysis skills. Proficiency with engineering documentation requirements and analysis tools; knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and compliance. Experience with aerospace, electrical, or mechanical systems; understanding safety and environmental implications for aerospace architectures. Ability to work with internal and external customers at engineering and management levels; effective communication of technical plans. Experience with one or more of electrical, software, mechanical, or electronic system design, analysis and qualification. Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo) and requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS). Knowledge of system engineering processes (e.g., ARP 4754, IEEE 632); MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape experience preferred. Experience with DO‑254, ARP4761, and MIL‑STD‑810 preferred. Knowledge of Advance Product Quality Planning is a plus. Ability to work under ITAR; U.S. Person status required (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). Other Requirements
