Overview
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of professional, administrative, and support tasks for the Office of Finance and Grants Administration (OFGA) and provides direct support to the Department Administrators within the team. This role involves coordination, planning, and effective communication with multiple departments across the medical campus as well as with BU central offices. Responsibilities
Place orders and process invoices. Coordinate with ISSO and prepare required documents for visa applications. Arrange travel for OFGA staff. Submit ISR and FSR requests. Manage IT service requests and process check deposits. Handle petty cash and honorariums. Support activities related to faculty recruitment. Assist with internal documentation and reporting efforts. Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct manager and the Director of OFGA. Experience with maintaining and updating websites is a plus. Qualifications
Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with social media and website management preferred. Prior experience in an academic or research environment is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Additional Information
