Overview

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor ranks in the department of Resort, Gaming, and Golf Management commencing January 2026. Rank will be dependent upon education and experience. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a strong and active research program with potential for journal publications, conference presentations, and external funding. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, and engage in department, college, and university service activities. Teach courses in one or more of the following subject areas: Sports Management, Sports and Entertainment Management, and/or related classes. Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a

Ph.D. in Hospitality Management

or equivalent terminal degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. Associate Professor (tenure-track): terminal degree and experience and research activity that is consistent with UNLV standards and aspirations Associate Professor (tenured): terminal degree and experience and research activity that is consistent with UNLV standards and aspirations Full Professor (tenured): terminal degree and experience and research activity that is consistent with UNLV standards and aspirations Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a strong and active publication record, and a record of teaching that is current and consistent with UNLV standards and aspirations are preferred. Applicants are preferred to have demonstrated ability to secure external funding and grants. Applicants should demonstrate interest and expertise in Sports Management, Sports & Entertainment Management, and/or related areas, followed by the ability to teach in one or more of these and related areas.
