The next Director of Special Education will have the following qualifications and focus areas to enhance the quality of education for ALL students. Responsibilities
Lead the Special Education Department and its team of educators. Provide leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant special education programs aligned with district goals. Qualifications
A passion for academic excellence. Successful experience as a special education teacher. Dedication to student-centered learning. Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal IDEA and MaineChapter 101 Unified Special Education Regulations and Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Collaborative leadership skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Education
