Director - Training Institute (Substance Use/Mental Health) — Richmond Hill, NY Base pay range: $135,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr. This role focuses on leadership and oversight for training operations, program development, staff management, and external relations within Outreach: Building Healthy Lives. Responsibilities
Program Development:
Oversee CASAC program, test prep, and professional training (in-person/virtual). Manage Outreach University for staff training to support organizational goals. Design tailored training for organizations; expand OTI with new products and curriculum. Improve CASAC retention and job placement for low-income/ACCES-VR cohorts. Administration & Management:
Ensure OASAS/regulatory compliance. Supervise staff, monitor training quality, and manage student processes. Oversee grants and pursue new funding; manage OTI budget. Ensure staff efficiency and compliance; increase qualified trainers and deliveries. External Relations & Marketing:
Build referral relationships to market programs; address admission issues and monitor demand; represent OTI at conferences/events.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field (CASAC a plus). Minimum two years of management experience and substantial experience as an adult educator. Proven leadership in program oversight, staff supervision, marketing, and grant management. Strong background in substance use and mental health treatment; experience in evidence-based practices preferred. Knowledge of OASAS programs and CASAC qualifications desirable. Strong communication skills, self-driven, results-oriented, and flexible with travel and hours.
