Applications Engineer

to join our growing team. This role bridges engineering expertise and client collaboration—helping customers design, optimize, and implement additive manufacturing solutions that meet stringent technical and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities

Act as the technical liaison between customers, sales, and engineering teams to define and deliver 3D printing solutions. Support design-for-additive-manufacturing (DfAM) projects, providing guidance on feasibility, material selection, and process optimization. Conduct application studies, build simulations, and prototype testing to validate customer requirements. Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and project plans. Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to ensure successful part builds, post-processing, and quality assurance. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training for internal teams and customers. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during design, build, or post-processing phases. Stay up-to-date on additive manufacturing advancements, materials, and best practices to guide strategic recommendations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 2+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering environments. Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or equivalent) and simulation tools. Familiarity with metal additive manufacturing processes (SLM, DMLS, EBM, etc.) and materials (titanium, Inconel, aluminum, stainless steels). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage technical projects from concept through production. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to customers and cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience with AM equipment, post-processing, or quality control a plus. Equal Employment Opportunity
