We are seeking a skilled
Tanium Engineer
for a 6 to 12 month contract. The
Tanium Engineer
will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Tanium platform, ensuring it delivers real-time visibility and control across the enterprise environment. This role will support security operations, patch management, compliance, and IT operations by leveraging Tanium’s capabilities to improve endpoint management, security posture, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain the Tanium platform across enterprise systems. Configure and manage Tanium modules such as Patch, Comply, Threat Response, Asset, and Discover. Develop and maintain custom Tanium sensors, packages, dashboards, and reports. Integrate Tanium with other enterprise security and IT management tools (e.g., SIEM, CMDB, vulnerability management). Monitor platform health and performance, applying updates, patches, and tuning as needed. Partner with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to support endpoint visibility, vulnerability remediation, and incident response. Troubleshoot issues related to Tanium clients, communication, or module performance. Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation to IT and security teams. Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements, including audit and reporting needs. Qualifications Required 3–5+ years of experience in endpoint management, IT operations, or cybersecurity. Hands-on experience with the
Tanium platform
in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and/or macOS administration. Knowledge of endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability management practices. Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or Shell). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Tanium Certified Operator (TCO) or Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA). Experience integrating Tanium with SIEM, ticketing, or asset management platforms. Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and enterprise IT governance. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOX, PCI, etc.). Soft Skills Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
