Business Intelligence Engineer, Ad Sales Finance Analytics

to be a key partner for the Amazon IX Advertising Sales business. We are looking for a top technical and analytical mind capable of extracting value from large and disparate data sets, delivering insights that drive decisions and influence product evolution. The role supports streamlined metric reporting for operating cadences (daily, weekly, monthly) and requires the ability to work through ambiguity with good judgment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and related artifacts to drive key business decisions. Own the forecasting model for IX countries and enhance the model to align with sales calls while minimizing forecasting errors. Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve team performance and measurement. Define data elements and data structures to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for the business development team. Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable scalability. Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding progress and roadblocks. Collaborate with engineering and the data warehouse to ensure appropriate capture and storage of key data points. Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and presenting it in a digestible, actionable format. Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions. About the Team

The Ads Sales Finance team is a global group of 30+ Data and BI engineers partnering with finance managers, sales, and product stakeholders to build forecasting, reporting, and analytics capabilities for Amazon Ads. The team delivers scalable datamarts, models, and dashboards to standardize reporting, minimize forecasting error, and provide leadership with data-driven insights. Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or equivalent data stores. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience writing complex SQL queries. Experience using SQL to pull data from databases or data warehouses and scripting (Python) to process data for modeling. Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab. Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
