This is a hybrid position. You\'ll work on-site at the Oakbrook Terrace, IL office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Mondays and Fridays are remote days, which can be used for working from home or in a field location.

Overview & Key Responsibilities We are seeking up to three (3) Project Managers to join our client\'s team to oversee large-scale utility infrastructure upgrade projects focused on distribution voltages. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a professional with a background in construction, utilities, or engineering. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, leading project teams, and ensuring projects are completed within financial and time constraints. If you have experience with large-scale projects and are ready to contribute to the modernization of the electric grid, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, timelines, milestones, and resource needs.

Lead project teams to meet objectives, monitoring progress and addressing issues or risks as they arise.

Oversee all phases of utility infrastructure upgrade projects, from engineering design to construction, including work such as overhead, underground, civil, and boring.

Manage a project budget and ensure financial constraints are met.

Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and senior management, providing status updates.

Build and maintain stakeholder and partner relationships, leading project meetings and managing documentation.

Manage contracts and review plans.

Support the implementation of project management best practices and processes.

Issue RFPs and manage subcontractors and contractors.

Forecast project financials and report on project status for leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of experience managing projects, ideally utility, construction, and/or infrastructure projects.

A Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, management, construction, or a related field.

Experience with financial forecasting, managing a budget, and contract management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Robust knowledge of project management principles.

Proficient with MS Office and similar computer applications.

Ability to work a hybrid schedule with on-site presence in Oak Brook Terrace, IL, three days a week.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Electric utility experience.

5-8 years of experience as a project manager, particularly in an electric grid environment.

Experience with large-scale projects valued at $1 million to $5 million or more.

A PMP certification is valuable but not required.

Prior experience working for a utility company.
