onsemi is seeking a seasoned Applications Engineering and Product Lifecycle Transformation Leader at the Member of Technical Staff grade to drive our product planning and lifecycle management initiatives. This strategic role will lead AI-first, data-driven transformations in how we define, launch new products, and retire obsolete products, ensuring all aspects of the “whole product” – from technical collateral to go-to-market plans – are in place for success. The candidate should have deep experience in semiconductor product marketing and applications engineering, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional projects. A passion for learning AI and utilizing AI for transforming business processes is required. Location: San Jose, CA or Scottsdale, AZ Responsibilities

Lead Whole Product Planning (WPP) and PLM initiatives: drive cross-functional WPP and product lifecycle taskforces, steer large-scale process improvements and IT transformation projects to enhance new product introduction and lifecycle management processes. AI-Driven Product Planning Transformation: leverage AI tools to accelerate product planning, including plan reviews and generating first-draft product collateral (datasheets, product briefs, presentations) to jump-start marketing content creation. Evaluation Board (EVB) & Kit Governance: oversee governance and lifecycle management of EVBs and reference design kits with robust SOPs and templates for planning, production, inventory, and quality to support timely product launches. Cross-Functional Process Improvement: develop and refine best practices, templates, and matrices to improve execution across product lifecycle phases; maintain Whole Product Plan templates and RACI definitions across Ramp, Mature, Decline, and End-of-Life stages. Digital Transformation Projects: drive digital tools to support product planning and analytics; work with IT to enhance WPP automation tools and dashboards for portfolio reviews and KPI tracking. New Product Launch Execution: ensure a comprehensive “whole product” plan is developed and executed for each new product, including market requirements alignment, value proposition, collateral, and samples for a successful launch. Collaboration and Alignment: work with Product Marketing, R&D/Design, Sales, Operations, and Corporate Marketing to align product definitions and launch plans; facilitate interlock meetings to gain buy-in from stakeholders. Continuous Improvement & Reporting: track and report on metrics for product planning efficacy and performance; identify gaps and drive corrective actions; update WPP processes based on post-mortems and feedback. EVB/Kit Program Oversight: chair EVB/Kit meetings, resolve roadblocks in EVB supply or documentation, improve customer experience, and feed lessons learned into future product plans. Qualifications
