Base pay range
$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Engineer with hands-on experience in enterprise-scale data migrations using migration tools such as AvePoint Fly, Sharegate, and the like.
The ideal candidate will support SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online migrations with a focus on automation, performance optimization, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and execute data migration plans using third-party migration tools.
Build and manage Agent and Management Server infrastructure to support scalable migrations across global regions.
Develop and maintain migration batches, monitor job execution, and validate outcomes using a centralized reporting dashboard.
Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure migrations are smooth and well-coordinated.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to throttling, data fidelity, and endpoint connectivity during migrations.
Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tooling to streamline migration workflows and reporting.
Participate in change management processes, including GCM/eGCM submissions and approvals.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience with migration tools such as AvePoint Fly, ShareGate, or MetaLogix
Fly Agent and Management Server setup and configuration
Batch creation and job monitoring
Reporting and error handling
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, especially OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Teams
Familiarity with migration risk mitigation strategies, including pre-validation, rollback planning, and quota management
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of migration tasks
Ability to interpret and act on Fly job reports and performance metrics
Comfortable working in a change-controlled environment with structured approval workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with migrating SharePoint InfoPath forms and legacy workflows
Exposure to Copilot integration and Power Platform licensing considerations in migration contexts
Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations involving multiple regions (Americas, EMEA, Asia)
Familiarity with legacy file share migrations to OneDrive
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and compliance teams
