The

Sr Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst

is a key member of our accounting team. This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data, lead efforts to identify cost reduction and productivity recommendations by partnering with the plant leadership team and other functional areas. The Sr Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst must also have the interpersonal skills to successfully lead a team and collaborate with others to implement recommendations and drive change initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties Of Sr Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst

Analyze overhead cost of sales and actual manufacturing costs compared to budget, forecast and prior periods. Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and report factors affecting prices and profitability of products.

Cost Accounting Analyst provides analytical metrics and identifies focus areas for cost saving.

Coordinate and lead physical inventories and ensure inventory is reported accurately.

Ensure plant fixed assets and repairs are appropriately accounted for, including preparation or review of capital expenditure requests.

Oversee processes impacting financial information to ensure accuracy.

Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, assets, processes, and data, enhancing the company's value.

Identify manufacturing cost trends impacting business and financial results. Work closely with the Plant Manager for accurate and timely financial analysis.

Participate in special projects and compile reports.

Requirements For Sr Cost Accountant/Sr Financial Analyst

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Public Accounting Foundation preferred

Active CPA a plus

3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with innovative solutions for profitability

High integrity; ability to build trust and credibility

Salary: $105K - $125K
