Ehlers Purpose: Assist with the closing and settlement process for primary issuance and administer the processes to provide paying agent services for issuing clients. This position will be sufficiently cross trained on all business processes so the position can support other departmental responsibilities. Responsibilities

Monitor Paying Agent email inbox; review and respond to messages accordingly Monitor Call Dashboard and service redemption notices Create and review draft Debt Service Statements and Paying Agent invoices on a monthly basis Process and send final Debt Service Statements and Paying Agent invoices on a monthly basis; prepare and provide a term bond redemption file to the clearing corporation Send payment reminder emails to clients in advance of each payment date Apply payments received via Wire, ACH, or Check Review and compare external payment files to internal database payment spreadsheet Respond to Audit Verification Letters Assist in the preparation of 8038-CP forms for client review and send to the IRS when completed Assist with Paying Agent Transfer process, as needed Assist with fiscal agent documents, bond issue verifications, and FRACing bonds for debt issuance settlements As a subject matter expert, lead process improvement initiatives Collaborate with both internal and external clients to create efficiencies Assure understanding of best practices and implement solutions supporting departmental objectives Attend on-going training as needed to keep current and knowledgeable on all aspects of the job May serve as a representative at company seminars, client interviews, conferences, etc. when requested Perform other duties as required to fulfill the mission of the company Education

2 or 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math or related, preferred Equivalent experience in place of a degree will be considered Experience

Some experience or exposure to the municipal bond industry, preferred Knowledge/Skills

Fully understand paying agent services and bond sale support Ability to analyze technical data and develop creative solutions Recognize issues and work with team to effectively solve problems Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office and database program Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, care and accuracy in completing tasks Well-developed interpersonal skills that create and maintain positive relationships with clients and other professionals Clear and concise written and oral communication skills Prioritize tasks and organize work so that deadlines are met and essential work is completed Seek opportunities for continuous work improvements Recognize and pursue opportunities for professional development Physical Demands

Perform stationary work 90% of the time using a computer and applicable office equipment Move about inside the office 10% of the time to access files, office equipment and communicate with colleagues 5% travel as needed to represent the company and department at seminars, client interviews, conferences, etc. Details
