Essential Job Functions
Paying Agent Monitoring
Monitor Paying Agent email inbox; review and respond to messages accordingly
Monitor Call Dashboard and service redemption notices
Review and compare external payment files to internal database payment spreadsheet
Paying Agent Processing
Create and review draft Debt Service Statements and Paying Agent invoices on a monthly basis
Process and send final Debt Service Statements and Paying Agent invoices on a monthly basis; prepare and provide a term bond redemption file to the clearing corporation
Send payment reminder emails to clients in advance of each payment date
Apply payments received via Wire, ACH, or Check
Paying Agent Documentation
Respond to Audit Verification Letters
Assist in the preparation of 8038-CP forms for client review and send to the IRS when completed
Assist with Paying Agent Transfer process, as needed
Assist with fiscal agent documents, bond issue verifications, and FRACing bonds for debt issuance settlements
General Duties
As a subject matter expert, lead process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with both internal and external clients to create efficiencies
Assure understanding of best practices and implement solutions supporting departmental objectives
Attend on-going training as needed to keep current and knowledgeable on all aspects of the job
May serve as a representative at company seminars, client interviews, conferences, etc. when requested
Perform other duties as required to fulfill the mission of the company
Requirements
Experience: Some experience or exposure to the municipal bond industry, preferred
Physical Demands
Perform stationary work 90% of the time using a computer and applicable office equipment
Move about inside the office 10% of the time to access files, office equipment and communicate with colleagues
5% travel as needed to represent the company and department at seminars, client interviews, conferences, etc.
