RemX | The Workforce Experts is representing a client, a well-established financial services company specializing in commercial lending, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Houston. The role offers a hybrid schedule (in-office in Uptown/River Oaks with remote flexibility) and high visibility with direct exposure to executive leadership. This is a
hybrid position
based in Houston; compensation includes base pay and an annual bonus, with pay range provided in this posting. Base pay range
$95,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Key Responsibilities
Lead
monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
with accuracy and timeliness. Oversee
accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and bank reconciliations . Prepare and review
journal entries, general ledger activity, and reconciliations . Support external audits, regulatory compliance, and strengthen internal controls. Partner with senior leadership to provide
financial insights, forecasts, and variance analysis . Assist in
budgeting, FP&A, and financial planning
initiatives. Ensure
GAAP compliance
and adherence to accounting policies. Mentor junior staff and collaborate cross-functionally with operations and treasury teams. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ( CPA or MBA a plus ). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within
banking, commercial finance, or lending . Strong working knowledge of
GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting . Advanced
Excel skills ; ERP/accounting software experience preferred. Proven ability to
communicate effectively, lead teams, and provide strategic insights . Competitive
