The opportunity: EY's Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Senior Manager focusing on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. This role requires a seasoned professional who can define a master data management design and lead delivery. You will guide clients through the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies. You will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets. You will perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities and advise on tools and roadmaps. You will articulate information strategies that align with business objectives. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with significant opportunity to shape digital and data strategies. Responsibilities

Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis. Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring effective engagement economics. Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Define and execute the analytics and data governance strategy for oil & gas clients, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, including policies, data stewardship models, roles, and accountability across the organization. Oversee Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data cataloging practices to ensure data consistency, discoverability, and trust. Ensure compliance with data privacy, protection, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), working closely with Legal, Security, and Risk teams. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and data stewards to deliver high-quality outcomes and maintain stakeholder confidence. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures in collaboration with enterprise architects and IT to support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs. Oversee cloud-based data management platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and Hadoop for ingestion, storage, and processing. Drive the design and implementation of analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights. Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cost. Translate business initiatives into prioritized use cases with measurable ROI and manage delivery across multiple domains. Develop and champion data literacy programs, training, and change management initiatives to embed a data-driven culture across client organizations. Communicate analytical findings through dashboards and visualizations tailored to business and technical audiences. Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders across operations, IT, engineering, and executive leadership. Skills and Attributes for Success

Minimum of 12 years of direct involvement with MDM tools including SAP MDG and/or Informatica MDM. Experience leading delivery teams in data governance, data management, and related system implementations. Knowledge of industry trends and ability to articulate these to customers. Cloud technology familiarity (AWS and Azure). Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts. Expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management; strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy. Proven ability to lead teams and manage change effectively; excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or related field with prior consulting experience. ERP implementation experience including full SAP implementation with SAP MDG. At least 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data governance, or data strategy, preferably in the oil & gas industry. Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and Enterprise IT Architecture. Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, stewardship models, compliance, and policy creation. Experience in Master Data Management (MDM), metadata, lineage tracking, and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation). Experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures; proficiency with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Cognite, Palantir, Dataiku, or similar. Ability to lead large-scale digital transformation engagements, manage delivery risk, and foster trusted client relationships. Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and business domains. Mentoring mindset and ability to build high-performing data teams. Hands-on experience with cloud and data engineering tools including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and data orchestration platforms. Experience leading cross-functional teams with mentorship and professional development. Advanced analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making. Interest in innovation and emerging technologies; ability to apply them to solve real-world challenges. Familiarity with data mesh concepts and decentralized data ownership models. Certifications in Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake, Databricks, or related platforms. Experience with Data Office Organization and IT Architecture.
