WSP is driven by teamwork and future-focused business objectives. This opportunity is for a full-time Building Technology Systems – Lead Consultant in our Orlando, Minneapolis or NY office. At WSP, our staff work on high-quality, high-profile projects across local, national, and international scopes. You will actively participate in the complete project cycle, from design through construction close-out. Our engineers are subject matter experts who communicate and coordinate technical topics with owners, architects, other engineers, contractors and vendors. Responsibilities

Provide designs for Telecommunications systems (Structured cabling systems, telecom spaces and pathway infrastructure) and Electronic Safety & Security systems (IP video surveillance, access control, intercom). Market our capabilities, win work, and manage a team of consultants to consistently deliver high-quality work for our clients. Lead a BTS team of consultants to deliver projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements. Create design narratives and coordinated construction documents (drawings and CSI specifications). Budget fee responsibility on assigned projects. Manage project resources to complete deliverables including technical staff and drawing production staff. Coordinate, host and participate in project meetings (local and out-of-town) with the design team and clients. Participate in construction meetings, review and respond to technology system submittals and RFIs. Perform site surveys to document construction progress. Coordinate integration of security and telecommunications systems with other intelligent building systems (BMS, lighting control, AV, etc.). Understand local and national codes and industry standards (NEC, IBC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA) related to design and operation of Security and Telecommunications systems. Manage construction administration duties, including project management, on-site quality checks, and lead construction progress meetings. Qualifications

Four-year degree (B.S. in engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of technical degree and related work experience designing technology systems for buildings. 7–10 years’ experience designing high-performance systems for US Federal Projects and the AEC consulting/engineering industry. Experience as BTS team leader capable of leading a team of consultants from inception to completion. Proven ability to market capabilities, win work, and manage a team delivering high-quality results. U.S. Security clearance or ability to obtain one is required. RCDD certification required for telecom systems; CPP/PSP for security; CTS-D for AV systems (or equivalent). Other certifications (ASIS PSP, AVIXA CTS/-D, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are a plus. Design experience in Electronic Security Systems and Data Network/Wi‑Fi/Telephony; Audiovisual, DAS and related areas are a plus but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present design information to clients. Revit experience preferred; proficient in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office. Comfortable working directly with clients including federal and public clients, architects and building owners. Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $103,500 - $147,000. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust the final offer based on education, experience, and geographic location. About WSP
