WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Building Technology Systems – Lead Consultant for our Orlando, Minneapolis, or NY office. About the Job : Our staff work on high-quality, high-profile, local, national, and international projects. You will actively participate in the complete project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. Provide designs for Telecommunications systems and Electronic Safety & Security systems. Market our capabilities, win work, and manage a team of consultants. Lead a BTS team of consultants to deliver projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements. Create design narratives and coordinated construction documents. Budget fee responsibility on assigned projects. Manage project resources to complete deliverables. Coordinate, host, and participate in project meetings. Participate in construction meetings, review and respond to Technology system submittals and RFIs. Perform site surveys to document construction progress. Coordinate integration of security and telecommunications systems with other intelligent building systems. Understanding of local and national codes and industry standards. Capable of managing construction administration duties. Who You Are :
Required Qualifications Possess a four-year degree in engineering or equivalent combination of technical degree and related work experience. 7-10 years’ experience actively designing high-performance systems for US Federal Projects and the AEC consulting and engineering industry. Experienced BTS team leader that is capable of leading a team of consultants. Proven ability to market our capabilities, win work, and manage a team of consultants. U.S. Security clearance or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security clearance is required. RCDD Industry certification is required for communications systems subject matter expert. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Revit experience desired. Proficient use of Bluebeam Revu. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
