The Position

FanDuel Sports Network is seeking a VP, Ad Sales Finance to join our finance team. Reporting to the SVP - FP&A, this role will be the operational finance support partner to the Sales team spanning multiple professional sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NHL & Others) across linear and digital assets. We are seeking a change-agent comfortable in a transformational role that drives improved results in a dynamic environment.

The Game Plan (What you will do) Act as key business partner to the head of Ad Sales and Regional Sales leaders; oversee FP&A functions including forecasting, month-end analysis, and month-close support

Oversee and develop a growing team of finance professionals; act as a transformation leader to identify, implement, and continuously improve processes

Assist the Corporate FP&A team with monthly and quarterly deliverables to stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management, lenders and investors

Perform in-depth analysis on inventory capacity, utilization & sell-thru, and rate/CPM trends to drive revenue growth

Execute monthly close analysis with variance reporting and identify trends for management

Collaborate with the data analytics team to coordinate real-time data flow and dashboards

Own full P&L for the ad sales function (including sales compensation, capital investments, headcount, creative staffing and marketing)

Lead the forecast and budget process for all 29 professional teams and associated inventory including overhead of local and national resources

Act as subject matter expert in Advertising and Sponsorship; lead special projects as requested by management

The Stats (What to bring) BA/BS in Business with emphasis in Accounting; CPA preferred

Minimum 10 years accounting experience with financial reporting, SEC reporting, and public company experience

Experience leading and developing internal/external relationships; managing a small team

Deep expertise in advertising in national and local markets; sports experience preferred but not required

Solid understanding of general ledger and cost accounting

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Compensation

The company is committed to fair compensation practices. The annual base compensation range for this role is $200K – 240K. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
