Consulting Member of Technical Staff - Storage

As a technical leader you will own the software design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. You should be a strong coder and a distributed-systems generalist, able to dive into any part of the stack and low level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You will be expected to define software architecture with performance in mind and leverage hardware acceleration where possible. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Own software design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. Contribute as a hands-on engineer with expertise in distributed systems, large-scale storage, and highly available services. Collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-class features for demanding workloads. Influence architecture decisions with a focus on performance and scalability. Mentor and collaborate with other engineers to drive quality and reliability. Qualifications
10+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems. Proven experience in Java or C++. Familiar with scripting languages like Python. In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel and Ethernet/IP/TCP/HTTP protocols. Strong understanding of system performance and hardware acceleration. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and distributed systems fundamentals. Knowledge of databases, storage and distributed persistence technologies. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Experience building multi-tenant infrastructure is a strong plus. Disclaimer:
