Consulting Member of Technical Staff - Storage at Oracle. We are looking for hands-on engineers to join the Object Storage Service team as part of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure, building large-scale distributed infrastructure and providing industry-leading storage and related services. Responsibilities
Own software design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. Be a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive into deep low-level systems and design broad distributed interactions. Define software architecture with performance in mind and leverage hardware acceleration where possible. Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment and contribute to scalable solutions for multi-tenant infrastructure. Qualifications
10+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems. Proven experience in Java or C++ languages. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python. In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel and Ethernet/IP/TCP/HTTP protocols. Strong understanding of system performance and hardware acceleration. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and distributed systems fundamentals. Knowledge of databases, storage and distributed persistence technologies. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Experience building multi-tenant infrastructure is a strong plus. Benefits and Compensation
Range and benefit information are location-specific. US hiring range in USD is from $96,800 to $251,600 per year, with potential for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to reflect knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, locations, and business needs.
