Overview
Dunn Carney’s Land Use, Environmental & Natural Resources Team is expanding. We are seeking a land use attorney with 2-5 years of experience to represent property owners and builders as well as local governments in navigating Oregon’s land use requirements and related political and community considerations. Responsibilities
Represent property owners, builders, and local governments in land use matters, including zoning, permitting, comprehensive plans, and development approvals. Appear before planning commissions, city councils, county boards, and other public bodies; engage with the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) and Oregon Court of Appeals. Interface with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, and developers; stay current with changes in land use legislation and policy. Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused service delivery while developing expertise in environmental, natural resources, real estate, development, and municipal law. Qualifications
Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail. Well-developed legal research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated organizational and time-management competencies, with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Willingness to take ownership of matters and work collaboratively with others. Belief in the value of diversity and teamwork. Admission to practice in Oregon is required; admission to practice in Washington is preferred. Application
