Strategic Development Advisor . The Strategic Development Advisor advances hospital-based organ and tissue donation outcomes by facilitating data-driven continuous improvement initiatives at DonorConnect. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), this role provides strategic support to the Hospital Services (HD) and Professional Education teams through a continuous improvement framework. This internal advisory role is focused on enhancing the capabilities of Hospital Services staff by offering strategic guidance, coaching, performance improvement planning, and data analysis. The Advisor plays a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing strategic plans that strengthen hospital engagement and align with CMS regulations. Working closely with Hospital Development leadership, Quality and Compliance teams, Learning and Organizational Development (LOD), and Clinical Services leadership, the Advisor ensures all hospital-facing initiatives align with regulatory standards, organizational goals, and best practices in organ and tissue donation. DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissues to be used for life-saving transplants. Training/Education/Certification MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree is preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and/or portfolio demonstrating application of process improvement methodologies and tools Experience Required Minimum 4 years working with hospitals under CMS Conditions for Coverage and participation within an OPO setting required Experience with coaching and development in a healthcare setting Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and tools is preferred Experience with project management methodologies and tools is preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in both virtual and in-person settings, with strong project and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex medical/technical data for varied audiences. Experience with technical writing (e.g., SOPs) and delivering presentations Proficient in applying performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) and interpreting relevant data to support compliance and operational effectiveness In-depth understanding of organ and tissue donation processes, including CMS and Joint Commission regulations Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to navigate fast-paced, high-stakes environments with competing priorities. Knowledge of regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and procedure development High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in teams with discretion and professionalism Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to move up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing DonorConnect is a PROUD Equal Opportunity Employer who Values Diversity in Both Experience and Background!
