Overview
This position will provide an opportunity to work on various projects with IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, and other local municipalities. Typical tasks may include roadway/highway geometric design, storm drainage, erosion control, transportation planning, traffic engineering, corridor studies, and safety studies. We value teamwork and making positive contributions to the communities that we live and work.
Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
Develop geometric design and alignments for roadways, intersections, and corridors
Prepare construction drawings, cost estimates, and design reports
Perform analysis and design of transportation infrastructure in compliance with IDOT/CDOT standards
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, agencies, and stakeholders
Conduct field reviews, assist in permitting, and support project documentation
Stay current with local, state, and federal transportation guidelines and practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Proficiency in MicroStation
Working knowledge of IDOT and/or CDOT standards and procedures
Strong communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with Phase I and II transportation project development
