The Director of 24x7 Operations will be responsible for OCF & Capital finance processes and is a key player on the Tech Ops and Engineering teams. The role will aid the Sr. Finance Director in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of annual Gross Free Cash Flow across a variety of business lines within the 24x7 Operations portfolio. This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU operations through daily exposure/interaction with O&T Tech Operations & Engineering teams as well as the greater NBCU Finance organization. Responsibilities
Own monthly and quarterly close processes through accurate pacing updates, variance analysis, journal entries, expense accruals, allocations, and other necessary closing activities Lead the planning processes and prepare all financial statements (including Budget, Long Range Plan, and Monthly Pacing) for 24x7 Operations Standardize and streamline templates and formats across all operating areas to enable ability to review summarized financial results Partnering with stakeholders on strategic initiatives to drive productivities (including planning & execution) Monitoring Operating and Capital spend to ensure budget alignment and communicating trends to operators to help drive efficiencies Answering ad hoc requests as necessary Reviewing and approving purchase requisitions/invoices; ensuring procurement guidelines are being followed Reviewing monthly variances of Operating Models against Essbase and identifying their causes Consolidating O&T wide budgeting/pacing/tracking models as necessary Maintaining up to date finance process documentation Working with teams across core locations (NY/NJ/CT/UK/LA/FL) Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field 5+ years of experience in Finance with progression Solid understanding of basic accounting principles: accruals, amortization of pre-paid expenses, P&L, balance sheet, and free cash flow Proven experience of financial modeling, analysis and forecasting Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly advanced Excel skills (comfortable with vlookups, if statements, pivot tables) and PowerPoint Desired Characteristics
Experience with SAP and Essbase preferred Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with minimal supervision Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to all levels of the organization Exceptional attention to detail Quick learner and team player Additional Information
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of three days per week. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
