Teach with Purpose: daily lesson planning, intentional curriculum design, and regular data analysis to help all students learn and grow. Implement Social Emotional Learning lessons and Restorative Practices to create a joyful, inclusive classroom community. Support and Collaboration: work closely with the school’s Leadership Team, including the Instructional Coach, with weekly meetings and ongoing feedback to improve instructional practices. Commitment to Anti-Racism: engage in ongoing development to reflect on identities and experiences and how they shape us as people, educators, and leaders. Analyze school systems, academics, culture, data, etc., to reflect on progress toward anti-racist practices and make needed changes. Maintain student records and communicate with staff, students, families, and key stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships. Attend and engage in weekly Professional Development and other Communities of Practice to continue learning and growing as an educator. Update student records regularly, including attendance, grades, behavior data, etc. Qualifications

Experience:

Experience as an educator teaching students with demographics similar to the KIPP NC student community. Education:

Hold a B.A./B.S. degree from a regionally accredited institution. Meet one of the following eligibility requirements: hold a valid teaching credential in the desired subject, eligibility for a Provisional Internship Permit, or eligibility for a Short Term Staff Permit. Knowledge/Skills:

Commitment to KIPP mission and anti-racist education; belief that all students can achieve at high levels; strong content knowledge; ability to build relationships with students, families, and communities; effective communication; proficient knowledge of Google Suite; ability to use instructional technology (e.g., Zoom, Nearpod) for in-class and distance learning when needed. Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Daily lesson planning and long-term planning aligned with KIPP’s academic vision and goals. Analyze data regularly to identify student trends and inform instructional practices. Maintain a positive, inclusive, rigorous, and engaging classroom environment with Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning. Implement culturally responsive classroom management strategies to create a safe learning environment. Communicate regularly with staff, students, families, and other stakeholders to foster strong partnerships. Participate in weekly Professional Development and Communities of Practice. Update student records including attendance, grades, and behavior data. Work Details

This is a full-time, exempt position on a school year calendar, located at our school sites. Compensation includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, transportation). Salary scales are benchmarked against regional school districts and charter schools.
