Overview
Sr Director, Brand Management, Marketing, Sales and Category Leadership – Eagle, ID. This role is part of the Commercial leadership team and reports to the SVP/GM of North America Retail, Marketing, Insights and Innovation. The leader will synthesize brand, private label, internal/external analytics and customer strategies into actionable account plans to support Lamb Weston’s Focus to Win strategy centered on customer success. Responsibilities
Brand Management: Convert insights and analytics into actionable customer, segment and channel plans; identify gaps and build roadmaps to grow retail capabilities. Sales: Lead Retail sales team including Private Label and Brand Accounts across National and Regional levels. Commercial Strategy & Capabilities: Translate analytics and marketing/portfolio strategies into an overarching retail strategy across channels and customers; leverage house-of-brands and private label capabilities to drive top and bottom-line growth. Forecasting & Planning: Sharpen Joint Business Planning, analytics and forecasting; oversee pricing, promotions, category management, and sales planning to align with AOP and 5-year strategic plan. Business Monitoring: Monitor and communicate key business trends (shipments, consumption, financial performance). Collaboration: Work with Supply Chain to deliver cost productivity while maintaining outstanding OTIF; partner with Innovation teams on packaging, product R&D and commercialization PMO. Portfolio & Brand Leadership: Champion Brand, Portfolio, Innovation and Omni-channel demand generation; optimize Private Label strategy and balance house-of-brands with private label for net sales growth. Team Development & Collaboration: Develop talent across Sales, Category Leadership and Marketing; advocate for customers and prioritize initiatives as internal voice of Sales. Leadership & Reporting: Direct 5 direct reports (3 Sales, 1 Marketing, 1 Category Leadership) and 27 indirect reports (Sales 17, Marketing 5, Category Leadership 5). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business or related field; MBA preferred. 15+ years of Brand Management experience in CPG (marketing, category leadership, commercial/sales) or equivalent. 10+ years of P&L ownership or equivalent experience; experience with both branded and private label businesses. Proven track record leading teams across multiple classes of trade (Walmart, Mass, Club, Dollar, Grocery, eCommerce) and strong account-planning acumen (Miller Heiman, Richardson, etc.). Strong command of P&L, trade strategy/ROI analysis, IBP/S&OP forecasting and syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI) and primary market research. Deep knowledge of Category Leadership and ability to synthesize data into compelling customer plans delivering growth and omnichannel impact. Recent Marketing leadership experience spanning brand, portfolio management, omnichannel platforms and innovation/design thinking. Benefits
