Overview
We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment to 1) Develop and implement robust molecular and cellular assays to support the discovery of small molecules as clinical candidates, and 2) Execute in vitro studies to elucidate the mechanisms of Client compounds Responsibilities
Develop and implement cell-based assays to support the identification, optimization, and characterization of Client compounds. Develop and construct cell lines and tools for mechanism of action (MoA) studies. Design and execute experiments using expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and assay development to support MoA studies Execute routine assays in a consistent and timely manner Document, analyze, and present data in an organized and timely manner Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biology or related disciplines with 2+ year of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience Excellent sterile technique in mammalian cell culture with at least 1 year of experience is required. Experience with transfection, lentiviral transduction, CRISPR knockouts, and shRNA knockdowns is a plus. Deep understanding with hands-on assay development or troubleshooting experience in at least one of the following techniques: Western blotting RNA isolation and QPCR Cell proliferation, viability, cell cycle, or cell death assays Multicolor flow cytometry. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism. Ability to deliver high-quality data consistently, on time, and in an organized manner. Strong attention to detail and motivation to learn. Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Prerequisites
