Establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program in virology, microbiology, and host-pathogen interactions with emphasis areas including molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, emerging viral pathogens, and models of viral disease. Participate in teaching and service within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Collaborate with faculty and utilize core facilities; mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Contribute to department and university missions; engage in diversity and inclusion efforts. Qualifications
Required:
PhD or MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and three years or more of postdoctoral experience. Preferred:
Areas of research that complement existing strengths in virology, microbiology, and host-pathogen interactions; track record of publications and potential to obtain extramural funding. Application process
