The Difference You Make: The Director, AML Change Advisory Governance will report to the BSA/AML and OFAC Chief of Staff and Transformation and will help lead change advisory efforts on behalf of Santander’s BSA/AML and OFAC program.

A strategic leader with deep BSA/AML and OFAC compliance and change advisory experience, advise cross-functional stakeholders on the implementation impacts and strategy arising from regulatory and business changes, providing subject matter expertise and proposing solutions to mitigate new risks to the Bank.

Bring strategy, structure, and foresight to complex project delivery in a cross-functional, highly regulated environment; this role requires significant cross-functional collaboration and impacts the BSA/AML and OFAC program, new products, and internal compliance risk management processes.

Lead change initiatives with expertise in AML, people, process, and technology changes across the 3 lines of defense.

Responsibilities include:

Maintain current knowledge of relevant state and federal BSA/AML and OFAC laws, regulations and regulatory expectations.

Advise senior management and cross-functional stakeholders on compliance risks/implications arising from internal and external changes; provide strategic guidance on AML change initiatives.

Lead the execution of multiple simultaneous change advisory projects, define scope, develop plans, forecast capacity, track progress, and manage budgets and timelines.

Document, track, and validate BSA/AML and OFAC implications arising from new products, strategic initiatives, and BAU activities across the 3 lines of defense.

Analyze large/complex data and develop reporting with qualitative analyses and forward-looking strategic insight.

Train and manage junior resources; support other governance routines and activities.

Report status to management with strategic insight on risks and opportunities.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Business or equivalent field (Required).

12 Years Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial Services (Required).

Advanced knowledge of BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulatory requirements and regulatory expectations.

Advanced knowledge of new and emerging financial products and services and related compliance risks; ability to align compliance with business objectives.

Excellent at identifying financial crimes risks and downstream implications; strong data analysis skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Power BI) and ability to generate actionable insights.

Strong integrity and confidentiality; excellent prioritization and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with non-executive and executive management.

Demonstrated experience facilitating change to achieve measurable results.

Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (active member in good standing) - Preferred.

Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (active member in good standing) - Preferred.

What Else You Need To Know

Base Pay Range: Minimum $131,250 USD – Maximum $225,000 USD per year.
