Thought Leader Liaison/DC role at UCB. This is a regional field position with locations including Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Baltimore, District of Columbia, Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC, and the District of Columbia.
About The Role The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is the connection between UCB’s Neurology Patient Value Unit (nPVU) and critical opinion leaders in the Myasthenia Gravis (MG) clinician community. The TLL stays informed about trends in diagnosis, care, and management of MG, builds relationships with providers, organizes virtual and in-person events, participates in medical meetings, and tracks developments in medical literature to represent the provider voice within UCB and to convey UCB’s interests to clinical leaders.

What You’ll Do
Develop a Thought Leader (TL) map for MG, profiling key influencers and identifying engagement points
Create and maintain the TL Engagement Plan for MG in the US, aligning clinical and commercial goals with TL community activities
Establish a National and Regional Congress Engagement Plan with meetings and goals
Provide a framework for evaluating and prioritizing participation in local and regional meetings
Track TL publications and activities to identify trends and new collaboration opportunities
Assist in the facilitation and execution of Commercial Advisory Boards within guidelines
Support on-label collaboration and engagement between UCB teams and TLs
Plan and implement Promotional Speaker Bureau Management (Professional) in coordination with External Engagement Teams
Oversee curriculum development, protocols, and training of field teams with compliance to UCB and PhRMA guidelines
Manage Promotional Speaker Programs (Patient) with patient liaisons for local engagement programs
Field Support and Training to develop account engagement plans and train on TL and patient programs
ORD Strategic Planning Support to inform planning and contribute to strategic and tactical plans
Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biotech
5+ years in field sales, product marketing, thought leader engagement or similar
2+ years Thought Leader Liaison experience or equivalent
80% time in the field is required
Experience managing demanding travel and meeting schedules
Preferred Experience
Master’s degree in life sciences, business, or healthcare
Ability to understand and apply knowledge about MG-related medical issues
Strong verbal and written communication with cultural sensitivity in engaging with patients, payers, advocates, and others in rare diseases
Experience with the US healthcare ecosystem and practitioner/payer/patient/government relationships
Ability to balance priorities while adhering to budgets and timelines
Experience in MG or related conditions
Familiarity with complement inhibitors and/or FcRn-based products
Established relationships within the orphan/rare disease provider, patient, and advocacy community
The reasonably anticipated base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $215,300 per year. The actual salary offered will consider internal equity and geographic/location factors.
