Chicago, IL Job Description Summary: Mallinckrodt is excited to invite applications for the role of Thought Leader Liaison in Pulmonology. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to foster relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the Pulmonology field. Job Description: The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) will be instrumental in managing and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders throughout the assigned geography. This position reports to the Thought Leader Liaison Lead and is aligned with Specialty Brands Marketing. Engage closely with commercial teams to advocate for Mallinckrodt’s products while managing speakers and capturing KOL insights. As a field-based position, you will work autonomously and efficiently, required to travel frequently throughout the US with occasional visits to the corporate office. Essential Functions: KOL Development and Management:

Cultivate and maintain robust professional relationships with established and emerging regional Key Opinion Leaders. Engage deeply with KOLs and navigate Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and Centers of Excellence. Event Management:

Represent the brand at pivotal regional and national conferences in fields such as Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Pulmonology. Manage regional sponsorship activities and ensure timely delivery of congress materials. Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborate across functions to enhance external engagement strategies, align with the sales team, and provide valuable market insights to the marketing team. Support speaker training and assist in advisory board activities. Additional Information: Travel requirements: 50% - 65% of the time. Availability to work evenings and select weekends is expected. Proximity to a major hub airport is recommended. Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, particularly in customer-facing roles. 5+ years engaging with thought leaders in medical affairs, marketing, or clinical settings. 3+ years of experience in Pulmonology. Demonstrated success in developing strategies for healthcare professionals and executing KOL advocacy plans. Robust clinical and scientific knowledge concerning complex disease states. Established relationships with KOLs and knowledge of navigating strategic accounts. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A strong ethical framework and effective decision-making abilities. Ability to think critically and creatively to address challenges. Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and compliance issues. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. The expected base pay range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000. Note that actual pay may vary based on your skills, experience, and knowledge. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus.
